Girls football coaching centre will kick off in the new year

A NEW girls' football development initiative kicks off on Thursday, January 13, 2005.

The programme aims to provide primary school girls (aged eight to 11) with the opportunity to participate in football as an out of school activity.

Run over ten weeks, the course will be delivered by UEFA qualified coaches who are trained in first aid and child protection.

Players will be regularly monitored and those willing and able to progress will have the opportunity to attend the Vale of Glamorgan Girls' Centre of Development.

The course will be held weekly at Barry's Holm View Leisure Centre between 4-5pm. The cost is 2.50 per child per week but payment for the ten weeks is requested in full (25) on the first night.

Anyone requiring further information or an application can contact the Vale Football Development Unit on 01446 704729.
