Movie movements recreated on ice

The glamour and excitement of the movies comes alive as the award-winning Holiday on Ice, the world's most popular live entertainment of all time, returns to Cardiff International Arena with its stunning new show Hollywood from Tuesday to Sunday, February 8 to 13, 2005.

Voted Best Event for Groups in the 2004 Group Travel Awards, Holiday on Ice has brought together all the very best elements of its spectacular ice shows to create a film lover's blockbuster in extravagant style. Hollywood features 50 international skaters from 15 countries, 350 stunning costumes, incredible special effects, breathtaking aerial acrobatics and unforgettable music, guaranteed to entertain from start to finish!

Co-creator and co-director of Hollywood Anthony Van Laast MBE and his co-director and choreographer British Olympic Champion, Robin Cousins MBE have worked their magic to relive the most famous films of all time. From the dynamic rock and disco movies of the 80's, the vibrant Broadway-style musical movies and the passion and romance of a Titanic love story, to the exciting high-speed stunts and chases of the action blockbuster, finishing in a space odyssey to the future, a sci-fi movie, in spectacular Holiday on Ice style.

Many of the famous movie stars of the past are recreated on ice including Charlie Chaplain, Ingrid Bergman, Humphrey Bogart, Marlon Brando, Audrey Hepburn, Judy Garland and who could forget Elvis Presley, who changed rock'n' roll forever! The music will captivate, with compositions on Dr Zhivago, James Bond, Jailhouse Rock, Moulin Rouge, Dirty Dancing, Footloose and Fame, creating an extravaganza of pure musical pleasure!

Holiday on Ice and its new production Hollywood will be showing at the Cardiff International Arena from Tuesday to Sunday, February 8 to 13, 2005.
