Gala Win for Barry teams

BARRY Leisure Centre hosted the annual Ray Sutton Gala on October 16 - and it was won by Barry Amateur Swimming Club.

Teams from Rhondda and Fontygary swam against two teams from Barry ASC.

There were 15 individual wins for Barry - too many to mention by name! The 8 & under and 10 & under mixed relay teams won all four of their races which was outstanding.

Excellent swims were shown by club stalwart David Gill, new girl Tanara O'Neill and youngsters Georgia Looker and Jac Harries.

It was the first Gala for Tara Gulwell and Tamas Vincze and both showed the potential of their older siblings. Two other swimmers new to the club, Simon Perry and Jonathen Price swam very well in the older age group.

Congratulations go to all who took part and everyone involved in the event as a whole.
