OVER the past few weeks I have had cause to use Thomas Motors/Shamrock Travel buses to commute between Barry and Cowbridge and felt compelled to write, as I am really impressed with the service they are providing. The drivers are not just courteous they are friendly too. They are considerate towards the older people that use the buses, waiting for them to be seated before driving off. Cowbridge schoolchildren who live in the surrounding and remote countryside don't have to get out of their seats or press the buzzer to stop the bus - the drivers know where every one of them lives and automatically stops outside each of their houses.

I have rung their office on a Sunday for travel information and been able to speak to a person rather than a machine, and twice when I have been stood on the bus stop, the young lady in their office has rung me back within minutes with the information I requested.

I think Cardiff Bus could learn a few lessons from them.
