Labour-ing

IN June three town councillors and two Vale councillors were elected to serve the Gibbonsdown Ward. They were all Labour councillors.

Already one of their councillors had been disqualified due to non-compliance. I understand that she was never seen at a single council meeting. Nevertheless Labour still wanted to co-opt her back on to the town council.

Labour's failure to ensure that their councillors were doing what they were elected to do was a betrayal of our trust. Labour had a duty to make sure that their councillors are capable of representing local residents.

Labour's incompetence has caused this by-election and Labour's arrogance has made them deserve to lose it.
