Barry women part of ghost research

TWO BARRY women are part of group who investigate paranormal activity and will rid your home of unwanted spirits.

Sue Roberts of Bendricks Road is a medium and alongside a psychologist, a historian and other people sensitive to paranormal activity, she investigates the unexplained.

Mother-of-three Sue and her colleague, mother-of-four Nicky Vaughan of Coed-y-Felin, go to haunted houses to try to find out why the spirits are there.

Sue said: "We want to help people to sort out problems. I am a medium and I sense the presence of paranormal activity. We do not exorcise houses but we do help the spirits to move on.

"We have various people who come along to investigate the activity. Our historian can research our findings if there is a name or any other information. They can go away and find out if our investigation is correct. "And the psychologist will try to explain what happens in a more rational way so all the possibilities can be explored."

The Tynewydd Inn has been the subject of one paranormal case and is due to be investigated again next month.

Nicky said: "We take photographs of things like orbs of light that appear and document what happens. The orb is energy which may develop into a spirit."

Known as Ghost Research Wales, the group uses a lot of specialised equipment such as divining rods and crystals to try to resolve people's problems.

Sue added: "There are many different reasons for a spirit to be in a home. It may seem strange but some of them do not realise they are dead and are annoyed if a new person moves into their house. They see us walking around and think we are the intruders. Others simply want to resolve a matter they could not do in life."

There is a website for people to visit www.ghostresearchwales.co.uk. They do not charge for the service but do ask for donations to help with costs.
