How we found Miss World

BARRY's stunning Miss World winner has returned to her native land just weeks after we found her living in Marbella.

Former Park Road resident Helen Morgan, who took the title in 1974, came home to judge this year's Miss Wales Competition after an appeal in the Barry & District News.

Organisers had published an open letter through our newspaper asking the controversial beauty queen to be the star of the Swansea event, 30 years after she became the most beautiful woman in the world.

Helen's husband Ronnie Lamb contacted us, after a relative spotted the article, and the scene was set.

Helen, who is settled in Spain with Ronnie and her children, attended the competition on Thursday, September 9 and was one of the panel that chose Amy Guy of Wrexham as Miss Wales 2004.

She also spoke about her short-lived reign as Miss World which ended when revelations about her private life were splashed over the tabloids.
