Ignorance

IT WAS inevitable that the hunting of foxes and stags for fun was going to be banned - we just needed that last brave leap forward.

The pro-hunting lobby are behaving like spoilt children who are having a last tantrum before you take their toy away. They will soon realise that there is more to life than inflicting pain on wild mammals just to satisfy their perverted enjoyment.

I also have no doubt that the day will come when local children will ask me, with a look of horror in their eyes, about the days when grown-ups used to chase terrified mammals for mile after mile until these mammals were completely exhausted and then watch them getting ripped to pieces.

But I will then be able to reassure them that this was in the past when a few people were still ignorant.
