THE Barry Men's Forum will be opening its 37th year of talks in the hall of The United Reformed Church on Windsor Road on October 7. The meetings open at 10.30am for 10.45am start and the meeting closes at noon.

The group was formed way back in 1967 to provide a meeting place for the retired men of the town of Barry and district and has been successfully holding these weekly talks every year from October through to April. Membership cost £1 per meeting and includes tea and biscuit. Talks are on a variety of subjects but, exclude the subjects of religion and politics for obvious reasons. Day trips can be arranged with support from the members.

Member numbers each week are usually in the order of 50-60. New members are welcome.
