Special vet

I HAVE always been a fan of TV vet Joe Inglis, and always wondered if he had spent time at Barry Animal Health Centre.

So when his book was published It Really Does Happen To a Vet I wondered what happened to the animals he'd cared for.

Does anyone know who owned "Barney" the Jack Russell terrier who had a badly broken leg on September 19, 1999? Did he make a full recovery? I hope so.

And, of course, all the other pets cared for, especially the dog which suffered post-operative complications after his castration.

It was reassuring to read the care and skill used to operate on the pets at Barry by such a veterinary surgeon.

Barry Town pets were made really special by having such a famous TV vet visit, so much so that even the BBC Vets in Practice came to film.

I'm sure that Barry pets still get the same level of care, even though Joe Inglis isn't there to help.
