WHAT a let down Barry Carnival 2004 was. There was not even a a procession. Last year's was disappointing but at least there was more than one float!

But I must say the float that did enter, 'The World of Nemo' by Gibbonsdown Children's Centre, was brilliant, although passers-by were jokingly asking if the float had won first, second and third prize.

Luckily the children apparently enjoyed their day, but what were the committee members up to, inviting floats to the fun and then ignoring the only competitor?
