Dickensian Night success

Popular event: Residents and visitors pour into village square to celebrate in a traditional way at the Dickensian Night success. Everybody enjoyed the spirit of Christmas Present and remembered the joy Christmas past.

A DICKENSIAN evening was enjoyed by all as the traditional night proved a success again.

The yearly event took place in the Square at Dinas Powys and was organised by the local Rotary Club.

On Friday, December 5, people poured in to the village to see the delights of the Dickensian evening. There was all manner of stalls for all the family to enjoy, from a barbecue and a coconut shy to Santa's Grotto and a performance by The Vale of Glamorgan Band.

The night was full of festive delight and ensured everyone was geared up for the Christmas season. All participants and visitors went home with a warm glow and a sense of the begining of the festive season.
