THERE was a fantastic day for members of the Welsh Contact Karate Association (WCKA) in Barry this weekend.
There was a variation on face painting as Aldene Thomas from the Secret Garden of Beauty decorated nails and offered temporary tattoos, and Michelle Deere of Kuts & Co excelled in hair extensions.
Raising money for new equipment, training and future tournaments, parents and members of the club got together and organised a great time in the Buttrills playing field.
There was so much for youngters to do - like the fabulous bouncy castle.
And the chance to battle against a friend was irresistable
Everyone helped out to make sure the day was full of fun and packed with prizes
There were stalls, fun games and activities and plenty to nibble on.
The community spirit ran freely as members of the WCKA put themselves forward for a soaking
