BARRY residents claim their neighbourhood is so rubbish-strewn it could pose a threat to lives.
Everard Street locals claim the build up of rubble and rubbish which has been left behind from a house renovation could hamper the emergency services trying to reach their homes.
Michaela White said: "I am worried about the rubble and rubbish which has been left in the lane. Our first worry was the skip left there since February. It was overflowing with rubbish and looked dangerous.
"Thankfully the skip hire company have taken it away but there is still a lot of rubbish left. There are various bits of rubble which have been left. I do not see why we should clear it up."
Mother of 18-month-old Harrison, Michaela said: "We have been in touch with the Vale of Glamorgan Council but they say it is not their responsibility. The path is unadopted so we are responsible for clearing our own part of the path."
The News tried to contact the owner about the problems voiced by the residents but were unsuccessful. The building is unoccupied at the present time.
