Althletic's new kit deal

MINI-Cricket-ers from Barry Athletic Cricket Club have launched their new season sporting a brand new playing kit following a sponsorship deal.

Their new gear has been donated by Western Power Distribution (WPD) the South Wales electricity provider.

The club runs three teams in the South Wales Senior League, as well as squads at under-15, under-13 and under-11.

Club chairman Peter Hellyar said: "Our development depends on our younger members, and currently we have teams in the Cardiff County and Vale Junior Leagues, as well as the Vale of Glamorgan Midweek League.

"The midweek competition is particularly helpful in that it gives junior and senior players a chance to compete together, providing the youngsters with an insight and the experience of playing at a higher level."
