Booked up

THROUGH your paper, can I thank the people of Barry who were interested enough to buy my Mother's book, The Women Within.

My mother has had a letter from somebody in the book 'via the publishers' to say that she had the book for a Christmas present and enjoyed the book, especially the part that she was in.

My Mother said it was worth doing the book even if just to know that little girl had grown up and made contact again.

Can I also thank Carl and his team in the local book shop who helped to sell it.

Phyll recently had reached her 90th birthday which she celebrated with her family.

It's a shame that her memory is not so good nowadays and would encourage older people to write their memoirs before their own memory fails. It's surprising how the younger generation have appreciated it.
