Club critics

I WAS surprised to read the criticism of the new owner of Barry Town Football Club by the Supporters Club Chairman, Tim Johnson. Surely Mr Johnson is aware the club floundered through debt, that the club is a business, it needs cash. The new owner is attempting to spread the burden of involvement and cash injection to a wider audience.

It's a sensible approach to create a supporters' association, having a network of branches. The entrance charges are not too high even for a family if one compares the cost of alternative organised social events.

I wish the new owner success and do hope he is given a chance as the old business practices at the club certainly failed.
