No deaths

I WRITE with regard to the article by Ian Bebb entitled 'Renewed calls for safety measure' which appeared on May 27.

The road in question is extremely dangerous, but while I would support any campaign to make this particular road safer, I draw your attention to a serious factual error in the report.

The article, which quoted Mr Rowlands, refers to three teachers from this school being killed in the 1980s. No teachers in the school's history, which dates back to 1965, have been killed on their way to or from this school.

This is the second time this 'fact' has been reported erroneously.
