Now rain will not stop play

THE LLANTWIT Cavaliers now have the capability to play two youth cricket games in parallel at Windmill Lane, with the installation of a new plastic wicket, donated by the Cricket Board of Wales and the ECB.

The wicket enables all-weather play without any ground preparation or concrete base.

The club has also been successful with a community chest bid which will enable it to cover the cost of a number of coaches who have recently succeeded with their coach education - Mark Jenkins (level two), Dave Cheal and Julian Griffiths (level one).

The club is holding a six-a-side competition for local pubs/clubs on Sunday, June 13. For more information on the club, contact Tim Bunce 01446-794654.
