60 years

THE Barry branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding a short open-air service to commemorate the 60th anniversary of D-Day at the Cenotaph, Memorial Hall, Gladstone Road, Barry, at 2pm on Sunday, June 6.

Members of the public and organisations are most welcome to attend and lay wreaths or flowers. We would particularly like to welcome relatives of those who lost their lives in the Normandy invasion and subsequent battles, those who took part in the fighting and anyone involved in the preparations for D-Day.

If you would like a wreath, please contact our branch chairman, Arthur Davies TD, on 01446 740426.
