There's plenty to offer shoppers throughout the Vale

THE VALE of Glamorgan has a lot to offer the casual shopper - and those for whom shopping is a major activity.

Penarth covers all the necessities of life: clothes and shoes to cosmetics, food, wine and electrical goods.

Barry boasts all that, plus Dorothy Perkins, Top Shop and Top Man, as well as Burtons, Evans and Adams Children's Wear in Holton Road, not to mention the High Street traders, who have a lot to offer.

Cowbridge is bursting with variety, from your run-of-the-mill newsagent to exclusive clothing boutiques, a garden centre and a fantastic general store full of interesting knick-knacks.

On the outskirts of the Vale, Culverhouse Cross has a huge Tesco supermarket, PC World, Currys, Comet, a massive B&Q and Homebase. Don't forget any new family members, catered for by Mothercare.

The other side of Penarth and Cardiff Bay Retail Park has Argos, Rosebys, Staples for your stationery, Asda superstore, Powerhouse and Furniture Direct. Don't forget your other baby - Pets At Home has almost everything for almost every animal. And a short jaunt down the road leads you to the famous Swedish Ikea store.

Without any doubt, the Vale of Glamorgan is the ideal place for any shopaholic's dream day out.
