DVD review of Matrix Revolutions

PLUG yourself back into The Matrix as the trilogy concludes in Revolutions.

We left Neo (Keanu Reeves) facing The Architect, who smugly informed him Neo could not save everyone, that it had been tried before and he would fail. And as the machine army continues to drill into Zion's defences, it looks like this is true.

Within hours, Zion will fall to the powerful and relentless Sentinels and mankind will be terminated .

Neo finds himself caught by the Merovingian at the train station - a no-man's land between the Matrix and the real world. He can't get off the platform because the train is guarded by a programme with a strong sense of duty - and very bad temper.

Trinity (Carrie-Ann Moss) and Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) set out to rescue Neo. Agent Smith, now a self-duplicating virus, resumes his quest to kill "Mr Anderson" and infect the machines. The final battle between Smith and Neo will decide the fate of both races.

Perhaps the first Matrix will always be the best. Its special effects were awe-inspiring. There has been criticism flung at Revolutions that the computer-generated action takes away from the story. There could be a little truth in that, but as it concludes the adventure it really is a must-see if you are a fan of the first two.
