Dress up and enjoy days off

EASTER is upon us and the weekend is longer than ever so what can people do to spend their extra time off?

After all the Easter eggs have been bought and bonnets have been donned it is time to get out and about in Barry.

Triasic Towers on Barry Island is open all weekend and there is everything parents need to keep young children happy.

Owner Peter Manders said: "On the weekend bank holiday there will be a bonnet parade for the children. The best dressed child will get a special prize.

"Each child will get something for getting dressed up."

Children under 20 months can play in a special soft play area and there is a bouncy castle for older kids as well as a ball pen.

Parties can also be organised in the new party room which has been painted in Sleeping Beauty pictures.

Parents can also eat at the centre which is open from 10am to 6pm over the weekend and during the week.

Quasar is open from 11am to 5pm on the bank holiday including Sunday.

Barry Island Pleasure Park and Fun Fair which has been a fixture on the island for more than 90 years will be open for business over the weekend.

With such rides as the high swinging Evolution and the ever popular log flume and roller coaster there is plenty of fun to be had at the fair.

Just Pennies arcade is also open 10am to 8pm during the Easter term holidays.

The Acropolis on Romanwell Road will also have a bonnet parade at 3pm on Easter Sunday and prizes will be given to the best outfits.

There's lots to do over the busy weekend so why not pop out for a bit of fun on the Easter break.
