EASTER time is here again and a lot of us will have two extra days off which gives more free time to relax.
Our reporter Charles Booth hit the streets to find out exactly what you get up to on the Bank Holiday weekend.
Jean Jones of Brookfield Avenue said: "We used to go away at Easter which was nice. I have just bought some eggs for my grand children.
"But I think the real meaning of Easter has been lost today because it is very commercial."
Bill Spence, 71, and his wife Shirley, 64 are organising an Easter lunch for pensioners.
Shirley was married just a year ago and said: "As for buying eggs we have a lot to get. Between me and my husband we have eight children."
Joy Estala, 65, of George Street said: "We are going out for a meal to celebrate. But that is a double celebration because my husband has come home from a week from abroad."
Her Roger, 53, said: "I am American and where I come from we would have a barbecue but the weather here is too uncertain."
Julie Western of Burlington Street said: "I am a Christian and I think the real meaning of Easter has been lost. I will be celebrating what Jesus did for us. I go to church each year on Sunday. I think it is important that people do not forget the real meaning of this festival."
Julie Grant of Lewis Street will be relaxing at home with the extra days off.
The 39-year-old mother said: "It's great to have the time off at Easter. Both my husband and I are off. We have bought Easter eggs for our son, 16-month-old Joseff."
Mum of one-year-old Kurdt, Katie Payne, 18, and her husband Dean, 29 don't go to church to celebrate Easter.
Dean said: "Unfortunately I have to work on those days. So I don't get the time off."
Katie said: "We have bought Easter eggs. But it is just another commercial day. It is another celebration for companies to make money."
People in Barry think Easter is a time to be with the family but not everyone is doing something special to mark the occasion.
