Vale of Glamorgan U16s 5

Merthyr Town Academy 1

A REPRESENTATIVE Vale of Glamorgan side powered their way to an impressive win over Merthyr Town Academy at Jenner Park on Sunday.

The Vale side was made up of players from Barry Bluebirds, Cadoxton Imps and Colcot.

Both sides contributed to a highly entertaining match.

Drew Fahiya scored a hat-trick and other goals came from Joey Baldock and Daniel James.

All the Vale side's goals came from open play and were largely thanks to midfield creativity.

Sean Nash, who was Drew Fahiya's foil in attack, put in a very strong performance.

Squad line-up: Anthony Barratt, Sion Anstee, Joel Harrisson, Elliot Vedmore, Adam Harvey, Daniel Jones, Jack Martyn, Joey Baldock, Daniel James, Sean Nash, Drew Fahiya, David Niblett, Mitchell Sales, Michael Osbourne.
