Amazing turnout for new coach's first day

DESPITE grey clouds there was an amazing turnout last Saturday for the opening of the new season at Dinas Powys Lawn Tennis Club.

There was great excitement at the arrival of new coach Rob Walbyoff, who had previously been head coach at the Welsh Indoor Tennis Centre.

It didn't take long for the courts to fill, the queues to form at the tuck shop, and the old familiar sounds of table-tennis, table football and the X-box. Next week (March 27) will be the start of organised activities for all age groups and abilities.

There will be trained tennis assistants as well as Rob to help improve skills. Please register between 9.45 and 10am.
