Connah's Quay 2
BARRY Town lost to ten men for the second week in succession leaving them with a mountain to climb if they are to avoid relegation.
Connah's Quay Nomads' 'keeper Andy Hughes was sent off late in the second half.
Manager Colin Addison felt that Barry created enough chances to have ground out a result.
He said: "Their second goal killed the game for us. We failed to close people down. We had five or six chances and should have scored, which is disappointing."
Barry started brightly but Stuart Rain headed home for the visitors from a corner 34 minutes into the game.
Barry nearly drew level when Dave Sherman had a fierce shot pushed on to the crossbar.
Barry put the Nomads under a long period of pressure during which they carved out a number of good chances.
Against the run of play Steve Hopkins put Connah's Quay two up when he struck from 30 yards.
Barry's next league game is away to Bangor City on March 20.
The winning numbers for last week's Barry Town lottery were 3, 4, 5, 7, 13 and 15. There were no winners. Next week's numbers are 1 to 16. The prize is £720.
