Dinas Powys FC U13's 7 Seaview 0
With Seaview making a brisk and committed start, it took Dinas time to draw their sting.
After spurning a number of early chances, however, frustration was finally eased from a corner, when centre back Chris Hignett lashed an unstoppable waist high volley into the back of the net from about 15 yards.
As before, it was a case of persistence and patience, and this was rewarded with two well taken goals from striker Tom Ensor providing a 3-0 half-time cushion.
With the coaches demanding a return to the standards that have made them joint league leaders, they were a little happier soon after when Dan Jose clicked into gear, powering through to rifle a shot into the roof of the net for 4-0, keeping up his record of scoring in every game.
Midfielder Josh Sewell added a fifth soon after with an assured finish, before being withdrawn along with skipper James Nellany who had taken a nasty knock earlier. Josh Davies and Max Smith joined Warren Mason and Peter Fordham in midfield.
Having laid on three of the goals, Dan Jose finished off his now customary hat trick with two further goals, before being replaced by Mike Wall. The game played out with no further goals, for a 7-0 final score.
With Caddy Imps recovering from their 6-2 demolition by Dinas to beat last seasons champions Sully 4-3, and with the top teams still to play each other, the title race remains wide open.
