WHAT is the future of investment in the town following the shocking news that the Assembly Government was threatening to cut money from Welsh Development Agency?

What will happen to the Vale's economic development plans if the money is withdrawn from Barry. It is disturbing that the economic future of the Vale is being put at risk.

The Welsh Development Agency has invested significantly in the town. Now it faces cuts of £15 to £20 million and this could be devastating for Barry.

Plaid Cymru is asking for an assurance that the finance for the Town Hall project is not now at risk. We are seeking a commitment that the restoration of Central Park is now not again under threat.

It is well known that New Labour rushed to give out Assembly election bribes. Unfortunately the chickens have come home to roost. The Government in Cardiff of Rhodri Morgan is facing serious financial problems. This is the true cost of New Labour's elections strategy.
