Open heart

FORTY years ago in June this year, at the age of ten, I underwent open heart surgery at Sully Hospital.

Heart surgery in those days was really in its infancy and I am a living testament to the skill of my surgeon Mr Harley and the rest of the staff at Sully, to whom I and I am sure many other people owe so much.

I would love to hear from anyone who was a patient on Morgannwg ward at that time or indeed from any of the staff.

I remember one nurse in particular by the name of Robotham but sadly I can't remember any more names.

Sully will obviously always hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget the time I spent there.

If you have any memories, please call me on 01509 505413.
