AS THE fire station in Court Road continues to decline, why doesn't the Vale Council consider the idea of converting it into a local history museum?
A building of its architectural interest would surely attract funding from the council itself, Welsh Assembly and maybe even from the European Union.
This goes beyond party interest, Conservatives such as the late Sir Raymond Gower MP gave great service to the Vale and Barry, Labour politicians have given equal service and honour, they both deserve to be remembered.
Our past is a leader to the future, let's remember and honour it with a local history museum - let's honour those people of all political, social and religious persuasions.
