I READ with dismay the article about the Sully football team that has been banned because of a report in the local paper.

We should be supporting the young children who wish to play football, and winning is just as important as losing. The younger the players are taught to win and lose, with grace, the better the outlook for sport in general.

Surely most sports fans would agree winning is the main aim, not just taking part.

It's about time the Welsh FA changed their attitudes and let young players see their names in the Barry and District News, regardless of their league status.
