DVD Review: Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle

REGULAR readers of the weekly reviews should have been waiting with baited breath for the next instalment of the boxed set 'Charlie's Angels'. Last week the first DVD was a decided hit. This week, it's the second.

Well, the film is definitely worth waiting for. It took a bit of a beating from critics, but that was a touch unfair really.

As long as you take the movie in the way it was intended, that is, a couple of hours' worth of frivolous fun, then you won't be disappointed.

The three beauties are back, fighting crime in full make-up and incredibly high heels. There's a new Bosley, who managed to change the colour of his skin - but that's easily explained.

This time, Dylan (Drew Barrymore) thinks that if she stays with the Angels, she will endanger the lives of her two best friends Alex (Liu) and Natalie (Diaz).

But with a cameo appearance from one of the original Angels, she soon rejoins her gang - and just in the nick of time. Because the foe they face is a worthy adversary - as Demi Moore takes on the part .

All in all, with the explosions, special effects, decent story line, some very obvious innuendoes, and some top fashion statements - this is a great film.

The two of them put together in a special box set is a great idea for Christmas. The two films carry a 12 and a 15 certificate, so they offer about four hours entertainment.
