Stripped of dignity!

Two very brave Barry men are to bare all for Children In Need - by being stripped of all their body hair from the shoulders down!

And judging by this picture there is plenty of hair to come off.

Scott Ferris, who works at Dow Corning chemical plant, and Paul Jenkins, of the fire service, will be doing their bit for the Children In Need Appeal at the Borough Arms, High Street, on Friday starting at 8pm.

The painful stripping will be carried out by Karen and Val from the Beauty Room in Dan Evans.

Scott said: "We've raised about £500 so far in sponsorship, but would love to top the £1,000 mark. As we are regulars at the Borough Arms, Gary, the landlord, has agreed to open up the function room so that everyone gets a good view of our pain."

Paul said: "All our mates think we're mad, but it is for a great cause and it should be a laugh."

Children in Need raises millions of pounds each year and numerous projects across Wales, including some in Barry, have benefitted.

The results of the waxing will be revealed in a future edition of the Barry and District News.
