Shops first

Regarding the article about car park fears (Barry & District News, October 23), doesn't Cllr Hodges have it all wrong?

We need business to be generated in Barry. Would he rather have business come to Barry or an easy way for workers to get to work?

Why not build a multi-storey car park behind the civic offices? Just look at that side of the road? It's time for him to open his eyes and put his priorities in order.

What we need the most is new shops to make Barry a good place to come and spend the day. Utilise what we have got and what would be the best place to have it.

Lorries can be restricted to late in the evening or early in the morning and vehicle's weight restricted.

If that area is made into a car park, it is an ugly sight leading into Barry. One reason why people don't use the multi-storey is laziness.
