Out of touch

Shame on our elected representatives, both in the Assembly and Vale Council.

The WAG should not have voted for such a badly thought-out scheme as the Golden Goodbyes, and the Vale Council should have had the strength of character to reject the proposal.

The strength of feeling I've heard against the scheme shows just how out of touch with real people the politicians are.

Are they not supposed to represent us?

Why then do they choose to ignore the wishes of the people?

It would not surprise me if the turnout fell even more at the next election as the voters become even more convinced the politicians are there to feather their own nests, rather than do good for all.
