DVD review How to Lose a guy in 10 days

HEARTTHROB Matthew McConaughey and girl-next-door lovely Kate Hudson work very well opposite each other in the romantic comedy How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.

As a single man in the world of advertising, Ben (McConaughey) likes to play the field. To win the chance at making a lucrative pitch, Ben takes on a bet that he can make a woman fall in love with him in ten days.

He doesn't bet on intelligent, driven Composer magazine journalist Andie, who has taken on the challenge of driving a man away in ten days.

Now Andie has to do everything in her power to turn him against her - while he is determined not to be turned against.

Who couldn't guess that the two of them would genuinely fall for each other, only to fall out when the truth is revealed.

For all that the flick is formulaic, it is a lovely, feel-good film ideal for a rainy Sunday afternoon.

With a 12 certificate, only occasional bad language and very modest naughty bits it is a great family movie that is well worth a watch.
