Boys get in the swim

THE SECOND night of Barry Amateur Swimming Club's 800 metre swim saw the boys competing and, as with the girls, the youngest club members set off first.

Amid great excitement, Jamie Sugden came in first to take the eight and under cup in a time of 25minutes 28.35 seconds.

Next, to take the nine and 10 year old cup was David Morgan in a time of 15.01.87.

The 11 and 12 year old cup went to Ryan Looker who swam the distance in a time of 13.19.14. Oliver Hartery won the 13 and 14 age group with a time of 12.05.08.

David Hampson came home first in a time of 13.55.44 for the senior title and Larry Cody swam to gain the title in the men's masters section.

The special 'best first timer' went to Perry Sugden who completed the swim in a time of 16.40.02.
