Saucy goings-on

A traditional British farce which ran for years in London's West End is coming to a Vale of Glamorgan venue soon.

Move Over Mrs Markham, by the hugely successful writing partnership of Ray Cooney (Run For Your Wife) and John Chapman (Dry Rot), will be staged at the United Reformed Church Hall, Windsor Road, Barry for four nights - October 8 to 11, curtain up 7.30pm.

In this saucy play, different sets of hopeful lovers converge on the bedroom of the Markhams' supposedly empty flat.

But plans for a night of passion are ruined by unexpected arrivals and mistaken identities.

Complications, confusion and deceptions - not to mention bed-hopping and trouser-dropping - assure a hectic and hilarious evening in this debut production by the New Windsor Road Players (incorporating Centrestage).

Tickets (£5 and £4 concessions) are available from Chant's Bedding at 20, High Street, Barry or on the door.
