Police target drugs and theft

ELEVEN more people have been arrested in another major police crackdown on drugs and theft crimes in the Vale.

And the Vale's police chief has warned local criminals: "We will keep taking the fight to you."

Early in September, Vale police arrested 17 people and recovered a haul of more than £3,500 worth of cash, stolen goods and drugs.

Last week they were involved in a series of early morning raids in a huge South Wales operation.

They were targeting drugs, outstanding warrants, burglary and stolen property.

Class A and B drugs were recovered as well as stolen car parts, forged and stolen tax discs and jewellery.

Operation Arrowhead started at 6am on Thursday and ended in the early hours of Friday.

Across South Wales there were 133 arrests and £1,000 worth of heroin recovered.

Vale of Glamorgan Divisional Commander, Superintendent Josh Jones added: "This was an operation that worked on several fronts and proved to be an outstanding success.

"We are taking the fight to the criminal.

We will continue to target those who steal and make others lives a misery.

This operation was about reassuring the public as well as tackling the villain, and it worked well."
