No trouble if twin beats double

YOU WOULD be forgiven if you thought you were seeing double - but you're not!

Identical Barry twins Sadie and Anna Whatling are making waves in the competitive worlds of fashion and beauty.

And they're about to put their beauty to the test: 21-year-olds are set to enter the Miss Wales competition.

The twins are rarely apart. Since attending Bryn Hafren, they have worked in the same places, including Barry Island, Marks and Spen-cer, the Cop-thorne Hotel and Customs and Excise, where Anna still works as a VAT adviser.

Sadie said: "It's really weird not working with each other, but an opportunity came up for me to move to the National Assembly as a project support officer and I took it.

"We have done everything together - we even date a pair of brothers!

"I'd been seeing Darren for about six months when Anna started a relationship with his brother, Leighton.

"We've been together around four years, go on holiday together, share birthdays, it's lovely."

Persuaded to sign up to a modelling agency by friends, Sadie and Anna recently joined the ranks of top modelling agency Zero One, based in Newport.

Anna added: "We haven't had our pictures posted on their website yet, but hope calls will start coming in soon.

"Now our agent is checking to see if we conform to Miss Wales regulations. If we do, we'll be entered."

So what happens if one gets further in the competition than the other?

Sadie says it will be no problem. "We're supportive, not competitive," she says.

If one is successful, the other will cheer the loudest."
