ON behalf of the Barry Link Group of the British Red Cross, I should like to thank the people of Barry and the Vale for the support they gave us during Red Cross Week, 2003.

Through your generosity we collected £1,287 which will now be used to provide services to vulnerable people and their carers throughout Barry and the Vale.

I should also like to thank the local supermarkets who allowed us to collect on their premises, and were so welcoming to our collectors.

We intend holding a coffee morning and table sale in September, when the proceeds will be used to buy more equipment for our Care Centre at Breaksea Drive, Barry Island, when we will hope to see our friends and supporters once again.
