THEY ARE back. How long has it been since the Stereophonics last released album? It seems like ages - especially to all the fans out there.
But You Gotta Go There To Come Back is definitely worth the wait.
All thirteen tracks have been written and produced by lead singer Kelly Jones, whose gravelly voice has become a signature of the band from the Welsh valleys.
And with the release of the single Madame Helga shooting up the charts, it is obvious that the 'Phonics have not lost any of their charm.
To try and analyse any one track off this album would be difficult and quite unfair to the others. While the sound is distinctively 'Stereophonics', the melodies and music in each are quite diverse and very entertaining.
Although there are probably very few music buffs out there who have not yet heard of the 'Phonics, if there are some listeners who have not yet ventured into the world of owning a 'Phonics album, try this one.
There are no crashing guitars to put you off, and no screaming vocals to offend your ears, so this is a great start to your collection.
This perhaps would not be the best soundtrack for a relaxing and intermit dinner party, but bung it in your car, while your in the garden, or getting ready for that candle-lit soiree, and you should have the perfect environment.
Basically, anywhere you can throw your head back and bellow out some wicked tracks is the perfect environment for this album.
Enjoy!
