Barry Town fans boycott

AFTER three self-respecting clubs (Tottenham Hotspur, Charlton Athletic, Luton Town) told them to get lost, 'Franchise FC' (the club formerly known as Wimbledon, and soon to be known as MK Dons) have announced that they will be playing a pre-season friendly against... Barry Town.

We should be ashamed.

I call on all Barry Town fans who to boycott this match.

Let the sell-outs play to an empty stadium - after all, it will make them feel at home.

Anyone who cares about the soul of football should oppose the idea that a football club can be bought up by foreign financiers, uprooted from the area in which it was born, and replanted sixty miles away in a town with which it has no connection, with no regard for its supporters.

Don't give these sewer rats any encouragement.
