Lynne's students gain prestigious awards

THE BARRY-based Welsh Academy of Martial Arts/YMCA Kickboxing Club has yet again produced outstanding achievements within the world of martial arts.

Students Darren Edwards (Barry College of Education), Christopher Page (St Richard Gwyn Comprehensive), Lewis Richmond (Ysgol Gyfun Barry) and Thomas Jones (Barry Boys Comprehensive) have all achieved the highest standard and have been presented with the National Student Award for 2002-2003.

Jordan Sheekey (Gladstone Road Primary School), , Trent Elliot-Rees (Wenvoe Primary School) and Hannah (High Street Primary School) are all Club Award winners.

All the students are a credit to their instructor, parents and the Vale, and Lynne said she is honoured to have her students recognised with such prestigious awards.

Registration is now commencing for Ninja Tots, Ninja Kids and adult beginners.

Anyone wishing to take part can contact Lynne on 07759145978, or come along to Barry YMCA on Mondays 5pm to 7pm, Wednesdays 5pm to 8pm or Fridays 5pm to 8pm.
