Dragons on track for major sponsorship deal

VALLEY Lines has teamed up with Barry Town AFC in a major sponsorship deal. The train company's support of the Dragons kicked off last Saturday at the club's clash with Aberystwyth at Jenner Park.

The sponsorship package will help cement the relationship between Valley Lines and the communities in the Barry area.

The package involves a number of elements from both parties including extensive Valley Lines branding at Jenner Park and on the Under-10s training kit.

The sponsors hoarding on the Valley Lines stand was also unveiled. At 246 feet wide, it will become the largest advertising hoarding of its kind in Wales next season.

The train company will also be mounting a fixture board at Barry Dock railway station - the closest station to the ground.

Ian Beattie Communications Manager, said: "Football is becoming more and more popular in South Wales and I am very excited about this partnership. Valley Lines' philosophy is about supporting the communities we serve and Barry Town has a huge following in the communities in and around Barry - it's a perfect combination."

Kevin Green, Chief Executive of Barry Town, said: "We are delighted to be involved with Valley Lines. This sponsorship is a major step forward for the club and to have such a prominent and well-known company on board gives everybody at the club a major boost."

Kevin added: "We hope Saturday's game marks the start of a long and fruitful partnership, although I doubt even Valley Lines realised they would have such an historic match when they chose this fixture."
