Junior Dragon Christopher presents Gary Lloyd with trophy

THE JUNIOR Dragons held their annual end-of-season get-together and presented Gary Lloyd with the Player of the Season award, previously held by Jamie Moralee. Young Christopher Jones had the honour of presenting Gary with his trophy.

The youngsters had a great time with the majority of the players taking part in a training workout with the lads and lasses.

They each had a photograph taken with their favourite player, grabbed autographs and enjoyed face painting.

With plenty of food and drink, the youngsters had a great afternoon last Monday.

A word search competition to find players names completed the day.

The event was well organised by Erica Willmasser and Ann Shaw who were complimented by Chief Executive Kevin Green on their commitment and endeavours.

SUPPORTERS AWARDS

Always an extremely popular and enjoyable evening, the Supporters Player of the Year awards will be held on Saturday, April 26 in the Players Lounge at Jenner Park.

A dinner and buffet is included in the admission charge of £6 for members and £8 for non-members. This is always fully booked so members need to move quickly.

Call Erica on 420041 to book your ticket and avoid disappointment.

There are lots of candidates for player of the year, stalwart Lee Jarman, top scorer Jamie Moralee, acrobatic keeper Abi Baruwa, or could Junior Dragons choice Gary Lloyd pick up his second award.

These are some of the names on people's lips, but it could be anyone.

Make sure you return your voting slip or get one from Erica or Tim on 734050.

NEW SPONSORS

New sponsors Valley Lines have prominent advertising on the new stand.

The official opening of the newly named stand will take place at the Aberystwyth game.

Valley Lines will be giving away free Barry Town match tickets in competitions.

All their promotional material will include "Sponsors of Barry Town AFC."

Expect exciting developments as once again Barry Town will be playing in European Football this summer.
