Ysgol Bro Morgannwg girls runners-up hockey cup

CONGRATULATIONS to the Ysgol Gyfun Bro Morgannwg Year 9 hockey team, who represented Cardiff and the Vale recently in the national Welsh under 14 championships and were runners up.

The championship was held at Wrexham on April 1.

Ysgol Bro Morgannwg won all of their pool games, against schools from Dyfed, the Glamorgan Valleys and north east Wales.

They beat Emrys ap Iwan Comprehensive School from North Wales in the semi-finals but were pipped to the post in the last 10 seconds of the final by Caerleon Comprehensive School.

Well done to every single member of the team for a fantastic effort and for doing Cardiff and the Vale proud!
