FORMER Sully man Major Charles Ingram, who is accused of cheating his way to the top prize on ITV's Who wants to be a Millionaire?, has seen his co-accused take the stand.
Welsh college lecturer Tecwen Whittock is alleged to have coughed to signal answers to his fellow contestant.
The court heard details of a police interview with Whittock.
The 53-year-old said he was suffering from hay fever and a dust allergy and any coughing correlating with the right answers could only be coincidence.
He denied having an affair with the major's wife, Diana.
He said he had never met her in person and had never met or spoken to her husband.
The phone calls between himself and Mrs Ingrams prior to the show were purely discussing the programme, he said.
Whittock also claimed he had not known the answers to the last three questions.
The case continues.
