Regarding Jobcentre Plus services in the Vale.

I am writing to correct some inaccuracies in the report you have received from Cllr Chris Franks of Plaid Cymru.

We are not removing any services from Barry or Penarth.

On the contrary Jobcentre Plus will be making a large investment to improve the services in those towns as part of the UK wide changes to the way we work.

We do intend to close the existing Jobcentre at Llantwit Major because it is unsuitable for continued use.

However, we are actively seeking out an alternative way of delivering services in Llantwit Major, hopefully in partnership with another service provider.
